Hidden Magdalen celebrates a collection that is unique to Magdalen College: the eclectic, even eccentric group of objects that the College has gathered over the years. Very few are seen by visitors, but they contain some of the College's most fascinating stories. From Cardinal Wolsey's lectionary, to Oscar Wilde's matriculation form and President Routh's fossilised wig, these are Magdalen's treasures. Like the worn flagstones of the Cloisters, or the scribbles of ancient graffiti on the staircase of the Great Tower, they represent lasting traces of the lives that the College has brought together over the past 550 years.
