Oxford Dodo Gifts
The dodo has become something of an Oxford icon. The ungainly bird has connections to the Bodleian, Ashmolean and Museum of Natural History, but it was arguably the dodo of Alice in Wonderland that springs first to mind.
The author, Lewis Carroll (real name Charles Dodgson), is thought to have based the dodo character on himself, possibly on account of his stammer which meant he often pronounced his name "Do-do-dodgson".
