St Cross College is known amongst the University of Oxford's institutions for offering the support, social environment and lifestyle of an undergraduate college, solely to postgraduates.

Established in 1965, St Cross College has a distinctly multicultural atmosphere, with over half of its students coming from overseas. This welcoming ethos is echoed in St Cross' motto: "Ad quattuor cardines mundi" - "To the four corners of the Earth".
