Jesus College

Jesus College in the University of Oxford of Queen Elizabeth's Foundation - to give Jesus College its full title - was founded in the centre of Oxford in 1571. It was the first Protestant college at the University of Oxford, and remains the only one to have been opened by Queen Elizabeth I.

With its sprawling lawns, Jesus College is one of the famous Turl Street Colleges, and paints a classic picture of life at the University of Oxford, whilst remaining relaxed, friendly and, above all, welcoming.
