Hertford College

Located on Catte Street, opposite the world-famous Bodleian Library, Hertford College was created from the merging of Hart Hall and Magdalen Hall in 1874. These prestigious institutions nurtured some of the greatest minds of the Renaissance, including Jonathan Swift and John Donne.

Hertford College is notable amongst the University of Oxford's colleges for its success in the fields of arts and literature, with a poet-in-residence adding to its credentials.
