Sally the Cat
Sally the Cat soft toy. Sally was Beatrice Blackwood's adored cat and went with her on her anthropological field trips. In 1936 Beatrice took Sally to New Guinea. The trip was potentially extremely dangerous. Undaunted, she set. out with a ball of wool and Sally in a string bag to meet the Anga who were head hunters. Sally's antics enchanted the Warriors many of whom came long distances just to see the little animal playing with the wool.
